SONIC Drive-In - Order Online App Reviews

First off this app should have apple pay built in to recharge it! 2nd why not have a barcode that comes on the screen or on the receipt then you use your app to scan that barcode and pay for your food. Seems like that would be alot faster and easier then having to type a number in.

It is a great app just takes a while to load. I got 2 medium slushes right away.

I got the app because I eat at Sonic often, and the other reviews just seemed like they couldnt be real. I have had zero trouble with the app. Sign up went smoothly, adding a card went smoothly, paying with the app went smoothly, and I got 3 free smoothies when I signed up. People are complaining about having to purchase gift cards to pay with, but it works EXACTLY LIKE THE STARBUCKS APP. Its a good app. Dont pay any mind to the other people that dont know what theyre doing.

I would give 5 stars, but Sonic still hasnt given me my toilet cleaner I leant them :/

The Number 1 Rule in business: NEVER make it hard for people to give you money. I just ordered a meal and realized I didnt have my wallet. No problem. The carhop screen has a nice black Pay button with the apple logo. I touched it only to realize it gave me a code to enter into the Sonic app. No problem, I think (though I suspect the Apple layers might have a problem with that). Ill just pay with ApplePay. Nope. Only *AFTER* downloading the Sonic app, being forced to create an account, verify my phone number, and click the pay button, do they tell you that your only way to pay through the app is to "Purchase a physical gift card or a gift certificate." Seriously? A gift card??? No credit card? No ApplePay? Whats the point? In the end, I had to cancel my order and leave the carhop at the curb. I feel bad for the kid. I was an idiot for forgetting my wallet, but whoever designed this app is an even bigger one.

I dont see why people are giving this a bad review...it works as described. Its just like the Starbucks app, you add money to a gift card and use that amount to pay...if you ever registered a gift card it will say your email was already used (just use a different one for the free slush) I got 2 free slushes, worth it...

This app works perfectly. And they gave me a free slush? Why is anyone complaining at all? The setup is perfect and its easy to log on to. Disregard all the one star ratings

I added a credit card, and then bought a Sonic card within app. It is nice not having to slide card at a weird angle into the credit card slot anymore.

After I filled out all my information and tried to erupt my phone number it wouldnt let me. It came up with an error screen saying that I had an invalid phone number/email. So I tried setting up with Facebook. It took me to the Facebook app and I agreed. But as soon as it went back to the sonic app the same error message came up. Ive used the same information to sign up for other apps and Ive never seen any error messages. Im really upset because I LOVEEEE sonic. I literally have a diet cherry limeade every other day. So hopefully everything gets fixed veryyyy soon!!

Got the app for the promotion they were having were you get a free slushe and the day I got the app it worked fine but as soon as I went to use it my account didnt exist anymore

Its hard to use coupons and stuff

The app its self works alright but I decided to get a slushy today and even though it says free I was charged. It wasnt a lot but I shouldnt have been charged for a basic flavor. No addins no candy nothing special but was still charged.

I recently downloaded the app for the free slushy deal. However when I went to redeem the offer, I had to be near the sonic I wanted to get it at. So I tried redeeming it in the drive through and it didnt work at all. Not only that but the manager never had seen the app before. Luckily he took my word for it. The app desperately needs location and redeemability improvements.

everytime i sign in it glitches and exits the app

I followed all the instructions when using this app, including making certain my sonic accepted mobile payment. I purchase a digital gift card because you can earn rewards and then was told that my sonic had no idea what the mobile app was. Sonic customer service wont refund me and now I have $20 bucks on an app I cant use.

I didnt have any issues setting up an account nor getting my free slush. Its a medium slush by the way.

I work in the mobile industry. This app has to be the least intuitive app there is. Try to find how to pay at the curb. Nope. Cannot do it. Needs a redesign!!

App works great and I love all the free stuff they send you. Loaded a gift card and paying is easy when I go to sonic!

If I wanted to use this app to buy a $2.00 tea Id have to add $20.00. Not happening. Another reviewer called this app a "Gift Card App". They nailed it. Thats all this is. Another reviewer compared it to Starbucks app. This is no where near the same quality or usability. If you want people to use your app make it a true mobile pay app and add PayPal as a payment method. Not entering my cc into any app much less one that doesnt work as advertised.
